Help Needed for 3 legged dog

Countess is a 3 legged dog (and also a mummy to two adorable pups) rescued by Roselin and Nandhini.

Countess, 3-legged dog, in need of help

Today, Roselin and Nandhini brought the dog (now named Countess) to our panel vet for a check-up and subsequent spaying and surgery of the maggot-infested paw.  They also brought her puppies along for deworming. 
Our panel vet recommends that bloodwork be done prior to the surgery because Countess appears to be very thin.  She wants to ensure that Countess is fit enough for the surgery.  If the conditions are found to be favourable, Countess will be spayed and then, her maggot-eaten paw will be amputated.  All that remains now is only a stump.  Maggots have already eaten into it prior to her rescue by Roselin and Nandhini.  So, amputation is the only option. 
Countess has two adorable puppies and I would like to personally appeal to all of you to please help forward this link so that we increase the chances of adoption for these two puppies. 
Countess will also be put up for adoption after recovery.

I have assured Roselin that we will sponsor the spaying and surgery costs of Countess.  But Roselin said she will also raise some funds from her circle of friends, and when she can, will donate back into our fund so that we can help other animals. 

For such deserving cases, we are always happy to help as much as we can.

On another note, I am very sad to know that Countess and her puppies were actually rescued from another rescuer who had left her in this condition.  Poor things.  Thank goodness Roselin and Nandhini managed to take her and her puppies away.  If only Countess could have been sent to the vet earlier, perhaps she would not have to lose her leg now. 

But of course, the past is past, and we do not know what happened.  All we have now is the present, so we will do our very best for Countess and her puppies.

Updates on Mercy, now known as Macy

Beautiful Mercy, now affectionately called Macy, is living her ultimate dream with her new family.

She gets to go to school, has a handsome playmate named Rex and most importantly she is loved by her daddy Richard and mummy Jessie. We couldn’t ask for more =)

Please find some of the latest pic of Mercy.(We had renamed her as
Macy, but she responds to both names as it sounds similar). These pics
were taken last weekend during Rex's graduation. Macy is turning out
to be a very beautiful and elegant lady! Our obedience trainer has
nothing but praise for Macy as she is very intelligent and picks
command very fast! Only problem is she is very active and cannot sit
still but she is getting better now and by the time she finished her
basic obedience, she should be ok.

Rachel, the ever delightful pup that loves human attention can be quite a bully among the pups especially when it comes to food =) She is very playful and absolutely adorable.

Suki has been in the shed for around half a year. She has been to adoption drive but unfortunately because of her shy nature, she usually fade into the background. Suki is very shy but once she warms up to you she would love you unconditionally. Please give Suki a home.

Amber, don’t give up.

Amber was tested positive for distemper and is now being treated in the vet.

We paid a visit to Amber last Saturday when sending 2 more dogs to be spayed.We’re glad to see that she is livelier and noisier than before >_< Dr Goh also told us that she has gain some weight which is a relief.

Please pray with us for Amber’s speedy recovery.

This sweetie here is Candy. She is currently having some skin problem, but no biggies. With proper care and medication she’ll be as pretty as ever. Candy has been spayed and is looking for home too.

This is Ashes. She was rescued from Old Klang Road market along with her 2 other siblings.

One did not survived and another one, Amber is still battling the nasty distemper at the isolation unit in the vet.

Ashes is currently being fostered by one of our volunteer. We hope with the personal TLC, Ashes will be one very happy and healthy puppy!

Hmmphh..  this mama dog was dumped outside the shed. She initially was very wary of us but we’re glad that she has started to trust us and is now residing inside the shed. She will be brought to the vet for spaying in due time.

How the furrizens cool off

It sure is hot and humid lately.. For those of us who don’t have the luxury of aircond at home, we actually prefer staying longer in office for the aircond, or hang around in shopping mall until it closed >_<

But for the furrizens of the shed, they have other method of staying cool in mind… by staying high up..

And the King and Queen of the shed are none other than Bibi, Mei Mei, Adun and Tina =)

Subu, however, choose to cool off by taking a nap =) If you don’t move much, then you won’t feel so hot… :D

Tender moments

We wish all the furrizens are good frens like these all the times… =)

 

But no matter how many times we lecture/nag them about “Sharing is Caring”, “United We stand, Divided we fall”, “Stop fighting or you’ll end with wound and trip to the vet” etc etc.. they just wouldn’t listen >_<

I wish someone would invent a translator of doggie talk and vice versa.. so we can understand them, and they can understand us :D

Champion, out.. Yayyy!

This is what make our day. Another puppy found a loving home. Thanks to the lovely lady (sorry I didn’t get ur name) and her friend for dropping by the shed to adopt Champion. Thank you so so much for choosing to adopt. We hope Champion will bring you bundle of joy!

Cutie Pie Angel who’s a darling has left us too after fighting for her life for days. We will miss you, Angel.

Sandy, then and now

Sandy is our very own DBKL queen. Her son Billy Boy holds the DBKL prince title too >_< During feeding time, both must be keep in cage with their personal food bowl and only let out after every other furrizens are fed. Sandy and Billy will then help out with level one cleaning by eating up whatever food that is not finished by the furrizens. Thanks very much Sandy and Billy for your help :D

Sandy used to be very distrustful of human initially. Now she is one of the friendliest furrizen in the shed! She is also part of the enthusiastic team of receptionist. Hmmphh.. sometimes too enthusiastic.. She will welcome visitor with her loud bark and warm hug =)
