Holiday mood...but we have more to worry

Now we are entering the last month of the year and this is the month that is normally filled with fun and joy...everybody is in their holiday mood with festive season around the corner!!

As usual, we are still coping with the constraint and limitation we are facing in the shed. Being a holiday season meaning this is a rainy season too. Our shed will get flooded when there is heavy down pour. However, on the other hand, the rain also does help us in solving the water problem (we have no water supply, we only rely on rain water for all the cleaning work)

What worry us more is the coming dry season, how are we going to source for water supply if there is no rain. In dry season we may not be able to use clothes as too much water is needed to wash them. Thanks to Mrs Lai who highlighted this issue. And for the fact, if there is no rain for a 2 consecutive day, we have to be careful in order not to waste. So, we have to plan ahead and do something.

Last Sunday, Mrs Lai, Kim and Aunty Kiew approached the prawn fishing Indian boss (Deva) and talked to him about this problem. (If you have been to our dog shed, the prawn fishing pond is just a stone throw away from the temple)He is so kind to propose that we put up a tanki. Deva will help us on this and we can get water supply from him. Though he said the water is free of charge but we decided we should pay him some money. At the same time, Mrs Lai called the Chairman of the temple and he said we can put it across the drain at the other side where the bungalow sheds are located as they will do some extension for a bathroom and a kitchen for their workers and people who come to visit the temple.

We will be using old iron stand and old tanki supplied by Deva and he will do it up for us, we will reimburse him once it is done.

Hopefully everything go smoothly so that our doggies will have constant supply of water and a clean place to stay.

An interesting Update

Remember CJ the first time pet owner? Well she called to update me on Wolfie’s puppy. She claimed that she has not had a good night sleep ever since she adopted him!! Ha,ha,ha….never knew this little puppy could turn her life so interesting with his playfulness. He has chewed up her sofa’s cloth, threw tantrum by pooing everywhere in the house, messed up his pillows and beddings,loosen the cage(boy, he must be strong), frightened her housemate and screamed and cry for attention ,luckily her neighbour did not complain but instead was very concern to hear a crying pup! Phew! CJ you sure are lucky to have such an understanding neighbour and little puppy you are sure lucky too to have CJ as your new mummy…….

CJ please enjoy this interesting moment of the pups. You will miss it when he grows up. I believe you will not dump him and give up on him. He needs you to guide him to be a good companion and please let him know who the master is. Puppies are very intelligent , they know who to bully.

Thank you to all that has eased our burden

As usual it has been a tiring week, but luckily Friday was a holiday but not for Kim,she will be as devoted as Kiew to render her help during her off days. Thanks Kim, the doggies here appreciate you very much and hope you still can wear heels to your office for the next few days. Must let Ah Wong and family know that its because of serving them that you stepped on a rusty nails. Please take the necessary medication as per Doctor’s instruction.

On behalf of the doggie family we would like to thank Reena and Jackie for bringing the doggie kibbles,dog bowls, cleaning their ears and feeding them vitamins. We really appreciate what both of you have done and not forgetting educating new pet owners who were here. The doggies here love the touch of humans.

To Mrs Lee and daughters thanks for your donations, rice and towels. Everything donated are appreciated as nothing is wasted here.Do come by when you all are free and we will try our very best to get these 3 puppies you rescued a good home.

Puppies after Puppies

Its a neverending problems if we do not spay our pets. We always hear people complaining about the strays in their area but they never take the effort to help to reduce the problems. Infact some of them are the culprit to the escalation of the problem by dumping them when the cute puppies are no longer cute and letting them roam at night when they are not spayed. Why dont they understand???

Oophs! Kinda of blurrr….

Another 3 puppies rescued by a Mrs Lee from Puchong.She would have kept them if she doesnt have 4 rescued dogs at home.According to her 1 was knocked down by a car earlier and it does make her worry for these 3 puppies as the mother is always not around. Sigh,sigh…… can we refuse them? Can we not accept the puppies when we see them??? The puppies are innocent. Sigh,sigh….puppies we will try our very best to get you a good home.

This is Minnie. We named her Minnie because she is very tiny eventhough we think she could be already 5-6weeks.She is rescued by Kiew in the market again on Friday morning. She will never survive in the market,she looks like a small breed .She could easily be eaten by rats if we leave her there!! Why do people keep on dumping their pets in the market!!!!! Minnie don’t worry you are safe here.

Devoted Kiew

While we are here blogging away, corresponding and getting adopters,thinking of ways to make this a better transit home for the doggies, Kiew is always worried that doggies are not getting enough food, thinking of the cheapest mean to treat the doggies when they are not feeling well (oh, herbs she believed to be good are been used to treat some sick puppies and Wah La! it works) sourcing for unwanted toys for them to play and unwanted clothing for them as bedding. Though she knows that we are helping her, she is oblivious of what is been written about her on the blog and what is happening outside the temple shed. Well, Kiew, don’t worry we will try as much as we can to make this place a safe haven for the doggies here though we are unable to be there twice a day like you….. We wish we could…. I dont think I am able to carry 2 buckets of at least 4kgs each daily to feed the dogs twice! I hate to admit it I really CAN'T do it.

Joke?...or No Joke??...

As you all know by now our "transit home" for the puppies is located at the site of a temple, we ladies finally had a light moment chatting after a busy day work on one beautiful Sunday evening.

Aunty Kiew narrated that the temple committee members has commented that the temple will no longer called "human temple" but instead became a "dog temple" (direct translation from Cantonese). I have heard this once and was burst into laughter when Aunty Kiew told me on the phone. This was the time when we decided to built a shed for the doggies there.

Here is another more funny version. Mrs Lai with her cool voice said that Ah Nga, the temple caretaker who has helped us built the extension has commented that "In Penang there is a snake temple, ours here is the dog temple lor!!". We all laugh out loud. Well maybe it could turn out to be a tourist attraction too!

Hei, should we teach our doggies to learn how to pray?? :))

We do appreciate what the temple committee members has offered us. How nice if every temple in the country can do the same for animal lovers? Wishful thinking!!

Sam: Debbie took Lemon from the Wolfie’s den.

Oh Boy, It did give us another scare of another missing pup. Debbie is the only one who has the patience for training pups thought that its good that Lemon be trained to behave first before rehoming. Lemon screamed,yelled and cried the first 2 days in her house but Debbie still can tolerate such noise as she understands that it is normal for a new pup to behave that way initially .

Mind you she has 2 other dogs with her. She rescued a male Shih Tzu that was thrown away when he was only 4months! A pure breed get dumped too when owner realised that they are unwilling to scarifice for a pet.Owning a pet is a commitment you have to be prepared to take, they are not a TOY that can be dumped when you no longer fancy them.

Anyway, Lemon is now adapting very well in her new environment and Debbie said she is beginning to fall for her. She is also brought to visit Mocha, one of Kiew’s soldier adopted by Debbie’s cousin. Debbie , please ask your Aunty to adopt Lemon too . They will be great pal and we will not have to worry of getting her a good home.

We are dealing with tick and flea problem

New volunteer, young but experience Sam, who is also an independent rescuer of her own right, share with us her day in the shed helping Aunty Kiew out:

"The puppies were badly infested by a lot of ticks & fleas. We bathed a few of the puppies & tried to wipe them with the de-tick solutions. Cici (I think she is one of the very friendly latest rescued dogs) has hundreds of ticks on her body. Aunty Kiew named her Cici as she is very sticky (She loves human to bits). Even Wolfie's pups have ticks & fleas as well. Aunty Kiew said the latest batch that she rescued have a lot of ticks & fleas but we couldn't catch them as they are too timid & they tend to bite.

Today we caged all the puppies while we were cleaning the floor. They were whining to the max. But once they got exhausted, they just kept quiet & slept off."

It is a hard day work...ya?! Thank you Sam for joining us and sharing with us some of your valuable experience and knowledge in dealing with dogs.

3 puppies rocking all the way back to their new home in P.D.

Mr Bala came in with an open truck to take the 3 pups that he has carefully selected for an almost 2 hour journey back to Port Dickson. Mrs Lai was quite worry as the temperature yesterday was 38C!! Quick thinking Mrs Lai did not let him drive away just like that but gave Mr Bala some thick blanket and a wet thick clothing to put on top of the cage, plus a porcelain bowl filled with water for the pups to drink. She also gave him a bottle of water just in case the water in the bowl spilled out along the way. Poor babies...they were rocking all the way back to a new home...

After a much hectic day, Mdm Fan called Mr Bala to find out how were the 3 pups coping with the new environment and most important of all, were they "roasted" in the truck under the hot sun!! Poor puppies were hugging each other according to him. Hopefully with time they will be ok.

We hope to hear more from you Mr Bala, and of course we do appreciate that you have given the 3 pups a much needed home. You will be rewarded with bundle of joy!! Keep us update!

CJ fell for Wolfie’s pup

This is CJ with one of Wolfie’s pup. She is a first time pet owner though her parents do keep dogs. When she carried the little white pup, she fell in love with him. CJ saw other puppies around but this particular one really captured her heart. Being a first timer, she has done her research on what to expect from a pup and what she needs to do to be a good pet owner. Good work CJ at least you took the trouble. As you are aware that small puppies do sometimes cry especially suddenly been alone and no more mummy around. Be patient , little puppy will understand that you are his new mummy now. He will eventually learn that he can trust you and will give you the unconditional love you never ask for.

So Near Yet So......Far

Wahh La!! With the help of the temple caretaker, the E-collar around Nancy’s neck was pulled off. Poor Nancy, they must have been very rough on her. There are cuts o n her neck under her

head.

Sad but true when i visited the doggies at the temple, i saw Nancy resting in her usual spot under the prayer alter, and her only puppy, Disney, was resting under the car opposite her. She doesn’t recognize her own pup. They were separated when Disney was just 4 days old.
Out of the 4 white pups of Nancy’s, only Disney survived. One got missing after 2 days, 2 died subsequently. Disney and Nancy were separated because Nancy had vaginal prolapse after delivery and she was taken to the vet for almost 2 weeks. Her pups were fostered by Mrs. Lai
Now they are so near yet so far… if only they knew how they are related… if only Nancy understands what we want to tell her.

Hope she will trust us again and not run away from us. I believe we have to be patient and to give her time to heal not only from her wounds but also from the trauma she has been through. Nancy, if only you knew, we are here not to harm you but to help you.

A Good Dog and A Good Dog Owner

Received the same email today from 2 animal lover friends and would like to share with everyone out there. It was extracted from a book by Steven Covey titled "7 Habits Of Highly Effective People," and the person who initiated the email thought that a great title for the book would be "7 Habits Of Highly Effective Dog Owners." This is because he has worked with dog owners that were highly effective dog owners and all of them followed the same basic steps.In Order To Have A Good Dog You Have To Learn To Be A Good Dog Owner.

Here are the seven habits all good dog owners have in common. Follow these steps and you'll be a highly effective dog owner too.

1. Training
All great dog owners spend some time training their dogs. Training is the best way to communicate with your dog. Your dog has no idea that they are not supposed to pull on leash, to not jump on guests,or to come back when you call them.

2. Exercise
Our dogs spend a lot of time waiting around for us. We go off to work, we're busy, we have appointments to keep, and our dogs are just hanging out waiting for us to do something with them.Dogs are extremely social and want to interact with us. Every dog needs two forms of exercise - mental and physical.

3. Good food
Not all dog foods are created equal. Feeding your dog a good diet is very important. Look at some of the labels on dog food. Some of them are loaded with chemicals, dyes, sugar and low grade products.A poor diet can result in bad behavior and poor health.

4. Leadership
Dogs are social pack animals. They survive by living together in packs. In order for that pack to survive they need to develop a social structure with a leader. When you dog comes into the house,you need to become the pack leader.By becoming the pack leader your dog will know where they fit in. Becoming the pack leader does not mean that you have to be forceful. It simply means that you need to control the activities that are important to your dog which are sleeping, eating, playing, and social contact.

5. PlayDogs live to play
Ever watch a group of puppies together? It is one of my favorite things to do. A group of puppies will jump, run, tug, and have a great time together. Playing with your dog is a great way to exercise and bond with your dog. It will also fulfill an important need in your dog.

6. Management
Good management skills are crucial. When a dog is young they usually get into a lot of trouble by chewing, stealing, jumping,etc. The owner, as the leader and teacher, needs to manage the dog's behavior when they are young. As the dog gets older and learns how to live with us humans, we do not need to manage as much.

7. Patience
Some of the best dog owners I know are the ones who are patient. Having a dog, especially a young one, can be very trying.


Here are some good tips to training your dog....

Dog Training
Dog training really boils down to influencing your dog's behavior. Reward your dog for doing the behaviors you want to increase such as sit, down, stay, walk and come, and punish and or manage behaviors you want to decrease such as jumping, barking, stealing, digging and biting.Some dogs seem to be easier to train than others. If your dog does not seem to be responding to your training program, try applying some or all of the nine tips outlined below

Tip #1: Make a commitment -Make a commitment to spend at least ten minutes every day training your dog. Some dogs don't get trained because the training program is composed of fits and starts. A few minutes of training on Monday, nothing until Thursday, and then maybe bba few minutes on Saturday. That type of training schedule will make it difficult for the dog to learn.

Tip #2: Follow basic management principles -A big part of dog training is managing your dog's behavior. We need to understand and apply basic management skills. Dogs do a lot of their bad behavior when we are not around.Chewing, housetraining, and destructive behaviors tend to happen when we are not home. It is a good idea to use a crate (only when you are not at home). Crates are excellent management tools. They allow you to leave your dog alone without the opportunity to get into trouble.

Tip #3: Don't free feed -Food can be used as a very strong motivator. If your dog is allowed to eat whenever it feels like it, it will be difficult to use the food to reinforce behavior. Food can also be used to establish leadership which will be discussed later on in thisarticle.

Tip #4: High powered rewards -Dogs have different tastes just like we do. I have worked with dogs that didn't like hot dogs. It's rare but it has happened.If you are trying to train your dog using rewards that he doesn't like, it will be difficult to get your dog motivated. Experiment with some different types of treats to find whichones really get your dog excited.

Tip #5: Get your dog's attention -Spend some time teaching your dog to look at you when you give a command. Most dogs fail to perform a command because they were not paying attention to the owner. Always make sure that you have your dog's attention before you give the command.

Tip #6: Establish leadership -Dogs are pack animals that respond to a social structure. If we really want our dogs to respond to our training we need to establish leadership. The better you are at being the leader the better your dog will respond to you. If your dog does not view you as the pack leader why would your dog respond to your commands? Establish leadership and your dog will listen to you much better.

Tip #7: Exercise -Dogs are active animals. Many of them were bred work long hours in the field. Most dogs do not perform the tasks that they were bred for in every day life. I have a German Shepherd and a Shetland Sheepdog, both herding dogs. They have never had to herd sheep or any other type of livestock.I have had to make sure that they get exercise in other ways such as retrieving games, tug games, hiking, and swimming. I learned long ago that the only good dog is a tired dog, and that when your dog is properly exercised it is easier for you to live with your dog and it is easier for your dog to live with you.

Tip #8: Timing -Timing is crucial when you are training your dog. You have to communicate to your dog what you want her to do and what you don't want her to do. This requires excellent timing.By punishing your dog long after the behavior has occurred, you are only going to confuse your dog. Likewise, rewarding your dog five to ten seconds after the behavior has occurred is not effective either.

Tip #9: Understand consequences -Whatever it is that you are trying to teach your dog has to have a consequence. If you are teaching your dog a behavior that you want to happen over and over again, start to rewardthe behavior. If you want to decrease a behavior then you needto apply a negative consequence. You need to apply the type of consequence for the behavior.

Conclusion - By following these steps you will start to get the training results that you are looking for. It is also important to remember that you can train your dog.

Nescaffe - adopted!!

Mdm Teoh and her sister and daughter were captured by Nescaffe's sweet nature and her unique colour when they saw me carrying her in the adoption drive. They fell for her immediately. It is really good to see one more pup found a goodhome, isn't it??

Down to our memory lane... not too long after Aunty Kiew rescued the 12 little soldiers (in early September), she spotted 3 slightly bigger sister pups loittering in the Old Klang Road market looking for food. They were about 4 months old. See the pictures, they are lovely, isn't it? Mind you they were all still with their collars on, so we strongly believe they were dumped by their owner too. Mrs Lai has named them Sisi, Thong Thong and Num Num... hei..I know you must be wondering why such a unique names and what does it mean...read in cantonese "West West, East East and South South"...haha, so cute!!

After Aunty Kiew took them back to the temple, little did we realized that they were parvo virus carriers. Due to the limited space we have and the little knowledge we equipped about disease problem, we were not aware of the problem until Thong Thong and Num Num fall sick very badly. Sisi too was not feeling very well then. So, kind Mrs Lai sent them all to vet for check up. Our worst fear came...and this is not very good news...it was a Saturday back then, so all of them were "hospitalised".

There was no doctor on the following Sunday, Mrs Lai visited them in the clinic on the Sunday morning itself. It was so sad that Thong Thong and Num Num did not make it. Sisi was still able to wag her tail when she see Mrs Lai even though she was very ill. After staying in the clinic for about 2 weeks, (thanks to Mrs Lai who has kindly foot the bill), Mrs Lai took Sisi back to her home for fostering. Sisi has a limping hind leg. Sisi however managed to recover pretty fast and her leg was back to normal.

In the month of early November, after full recovery, Fan managed to find an adopter for Sisi, Sisi was then sent to Johor Baru to be in her new home. Sisi was renamed Pretty.

Below is the latest update we received from her adopter:
"sorry for the late reply. i juz got my internet connections fixed....now sisi's name is changed to pretty....she is doin very good now...she even listen to us very well...if we ask her to sit,she will sit...if we ask her to shake hands, she shake hands...if we ask her to lay down, she will lay down...she doesnt eat if we feed her by right hand, she only eats if left hand is used...i trained her this way is because i don't want her to take food from strangers...i'm trying to send the pics to u but its taking very long to upload. i'll try to send the pics to u by next week.

Thank you Mrs Lai, Fan and the adopter of Sisi/Pretty who has helped giving this little pup a new lease of life and of course our dear animal saviour Aunty Kiew, who has sacrificed so much for the loving animals... We miss you Dear Thong Thong and Num Num...we will not forget you 2. May you 2 be rest in peace.

Dear friends, remember about Aunty Kiew's rescue in September, the 12 little soliders?? Here is the 11th soldier, finally been adopted!! Thanks to our dear Fan for sourcing hard enough to find her a good home. Below is the update from the adopter's friend, Vivienne,who is helping Wai Loong a first time pet owner,to care for little Paris and we appreciate very much of his kind and loving home he offered to Paris, which has now renamed Caleb!!

"hi aunty fan, my sem break during december but will not be in malaysia, visiting my dad at indo...i'll try asking see who can foster them...according to wai loong, Caleb did cry during the night for the first 2 days but now he is ok...today we bought him new collar and bones, he loves them and kept playing with it...we oso buy shampoo, water bowl and perfume for Caleb...he didn't shit and we took him to the vet...but the vet says it is ok as they try to adapt new environment...we also teach him tricks but needed some times for him to fully empower it...i miss caleb too.... here's the picture of wai loong and caleb attached... Wong…you are not neglected

We have been writing and talking so much about Wolfie and her pups and poor Ah Wong seems to be neglected. Neglected in terms of attention but never on food as we know that Ah Wong needs a lot of nutrients to wean her puppies. Last evening, I decided to pay Ah Wong a visit. Wah la! Her puppies are just as cute as Tritri’s and Wolfie’s. We also have 2 little panda in making. Their markings are very beautiful and unique. Sad to say they are not allow to come to the shed as Ah Wong doesn’t get along with Tritri and Wolfie. She is an alpha but Tritri and Wolfie is not a ‘Yes’ lady either. They have a mind on their own. That is the trouble with dogs they are territorial and it does make our lives difficult.

Ahhhh…..Ha!! Just incase you have not read about Aunty Kiew’s plight,please get a copy of this month’s Petster magazine.Thanks, Petster magazine for informing the public what a selfless lady she is. Without her we are unable to extend our help to save this homeless cute innocent little puppies and dogs around.

We feel strongly that we need to do something on ‘Giving Back’ as Tom Bailey written in his blog.These poor animals have lost their instinct to hunt as they have been domesticated for centuries and their habitat has been invaded by we humans with comfortable homes, beautiful parks in the neighbourhood and tall buildings the country are proud of. Now, they are considered as PEST just because they have no place to call HOME. Is this FAIR to them? Is this their fault? If we humans do not help them, this will never be a happy place to be.You will bound to encounter misery and cruelty. Please all of us spread the words to help and support whenever you can though how small it may be…..they need us…

Wasted Effort 0r Abandoned Site????

What worries us became a reality. It was a real waste of our funds… When it rains the mini sheds are flooded, the carpets are all wet. When its hot and sunny its like a heated oven as there is no ventilation in it. Our main concern is, all the doggies doesn’t want to stay there too! Haiz…. ..wasted effort but what choice do we have. We do not want to create an unhappy atmosphere with the caretaker of the temple when he insisted to extend the shed…What shall we do??? Any solutions or we just have to live with it……

Wolfie waiting patiently for her pups to have her food first before her. She is really a good mummy. Her puppies are getting chubbier and more adorable each day and hopefully they will not be taken away again without our knowledge.We would like to know who actually adopted all our rescued pups.

Our shy Toffee attracted the Wong’s family! Toffee looked lost when we brought her to the 2nd day of the event organized by Petster Magazine. After deciding to adopt Toffee, Toffee was quickly taken for a walk by the Wong brothers. To the Wong family, ‘You will never regret adopting Toffee’,she is an angel!

Janice(who adopted Mocha, one of the soldier from Aunty Kiew’s first batch of rescued puppy) came to help us in this event by taking all the pups a walk. She is so tempted to adopt a companion for Mocha. Janice took 10years to get her parents approval to adopt a pet!! Janice your persistence and patience paid off and I believe your parent's are just as happy as you are with Mocha around. He really must have enriched your whole family’s life with the stories you tell me about him and if you feel that you are ready for another pet, just let us know. (I am still looking for Mocha's Facebook!)

What? Another missing pup?????

Again Kiew realized that another of Wolfe's pup was missing last evening.It was our own Marley Junior. He has turned to be the most attractive in the litter after our missing Little Panda. We quickly called Ms Ang who has actually booked him earlier to check whether she has taken him.If she has not, its obviously stolen again…. We were just dumbfounded,no words to express our feelings anymore.Off course our only hope is for him to return MJ otherwise please give him a good home and take good care of him.

Hmmmm.....not a bad day after all....

Though no puppies were adopted in the Cutie Pet Fair 2009 organised by Petster Magazines today, we had a fulfilling day
Firstly, with the permission of Malaysian Dog Desreve Better we are able to have a space for our puppies under their booth for dogs to be adopted . Secondly My animalcare.org’s booth was beside so I took this opportunity to meet Dr Chan and to thank her for helping to spay Kiew’s dogs. We will be sending another of Kiew’s dog, next week to my animalcare.org’s panel vet for spaying.
While we were at the park SPCA came to see how they can assist us back at the temple. Its great that they too can rendered their help to us.
Later that evening Kim sent Fluffy Brownie to see a vet to treat his skin problem and with the assistance of Save A Stray we managed to obtain a discounted fee.

Isn’t this a wonderful day for us despite the heavy down pour in the evening and no puppies adopted? I think it’s a day we should NEVER forget as we met all the 4 big organizations who are helping us in ONE DAY!

Bang! Bang! Bang! Puppies Need A Loving Home!

Aah Ha! Finally we have this small poster printed and laminated. Hopefully we are able to reach out to more people to get a home for our puppies. We have pasted one in the animal clinic near the temple and we did receive a call within an hour. After looking at our puppies having such a rough play behind the shed, Mr Bala decided to take 2 puppies. You could see how thrilled and happy he was watching the puppies playing together. After leaving his contact numbers and his personal details he stood there again to enjoy their innocent play. I knew he enjoyed watching them,who wouldn’t? They are so cute and adorable. Couldn’t resist anymore he wants a third puppy! OK Mr Bala, they will wait for you to come back this Tuesday to be taken home. Do prepare a space for them not only in your house but also in your family’s heart. Well guys out there, will let you know which puppy are chosen on that day.

Farewell Our Little One

This evening Kiew broke the news that she had buried one of the smallest black orphaned puppy she rescued last week. He was the smallest among six puppies.

We felt so sorry for him.
Sorry that he was orphaned at such a young age
Sorry that we could not give the attention a new born pup needs
If only there were more of us around
If only we know how he was feeling
.... ............. he could still be around.
Maybe he does not belong here
Maybe he is needed somewhere else
No matter where he would be, we will always remember him......

Long story short, Mr. Matthew and Pooi Leng decided to adopt Haylie as a companion for their

Hayley and Grace were rescued by an elderly Aunty when they were around 3 months old.Though Aunty has good intention of not wanting them to be strays but sad to say she has no time to interact with them. When they were brought home,they were infact neglected in her house though they do not have to worry about food and shelter. I tried my very best bringing them to adoption drives organized by Malaysian Dog Deserves Betteri n hope that they will find a good home . They were very tensed,timid and weary of humans around as they have never seen so many people, so they were never chosen… Luckily my rescuer friend, Eileen, helped me to take beautiful angles of them to be posted on the Petfinder.my website and Hayley’s pictures did capture a few attention. Thanks Eileen.

Long story short, Hayley was adopted by Mr Matthew and Pooi Leng as a companion for their own rescued poodle, Rusty.No words could express how glad and happy I am to find an understanding and patient owner for Hayley. Hayley is still a puppy at heart She will still chews on whatever she gets hold of but glad to say she is never reprimanded but instead were taught to be a good. Thanks Matthew and Pooi Leng for of your patience. Just hope that Hayley’s sister Grace will find an understanding owner as you both

Little Panda Is Missing!!!!

Who could have taken him? He was still around this morning when the ladies came to feed them.This evening after feeding them Mrs Lai and Kiew suddenly realised that they did not see Little Panda. They started looking at every nook and corner as the the little puppies love to sleep in between cupboards stack at the side of the wall...oh no...we think he is stolen....I just hope that whoever have stolen him will take good care of him and will not dump him when he grows up.He is still a puppy who needs milk...haiz..is this place also unsafe for these poor puppies??

Good Natured Wolfie

Having so much of cleaning to do in the shed,we sometimes forget which pup belongs to which mummy.I was wondering, why Fluffy Brownie prefers to sleep by himself even Wolfie came back to her corner to feed her puppies. As Fluffy Brownie is the tiniest from her batch he has somehow joined Wolfie’s puppies to play as they are of the same size. It did not occur to me that he is not Wolfie’s puppy!!! I kept putting him to be nursed by Wolfie but he kept turning away even though good natured Wolfie adjusted herself for him…..Wolfie you are an angel! You deserve a better home…..
