As We Say Good bye 2009, and Hello 2010

2009 is ending but our rescue work don't seem to be ending. It looks like our work has brought us to a different level of rescue. Now we are not only helping to spay the resident and rescued dogs and rehoming them. Our work have extended to learn more about the types of food that are good for them, medication for arresting different sickness and viruses, learning about the health problems that strays face, raising funds, getting to know more people who are passionate about caring for these unfortunate, and ……and… its endless and we still have lots to learn. Thanks to all who have supported and taught us a thing or two in this rescue effort.
Have to admit we are so drained and exhausted BUT we can’t stop. As 2009 is coming to an end we truly wish there will be less rescue work(not to say we do not want to help anymore but hoping that there are less unfortunate to rescue) and more caring humans out there to help save these strays.

We would like wish our readers a Happy 2010 New Year and may there be Less homeless and helpless around!

Belle - up for adoption

Sam, volunteer for Aunty kiew, is also a rescuer. She needs help to get her rescued dog, Belle, up for adoption. Here is what she wrote:

"This cute lil puppy is up for adoption!

I saw her at the vet & thought that she looks like BOLT. Trust me, she really looks like smaller-eyes-version Bolt. This lousy pic of her doesnt justify how cute she is!

My friend had adopted her for nearly 2 months. He gave up on her due to her extremely submissive nature. She does well with other dogs but not so much with human. This is because she used to be a stray puppy before someone picked her up & sent her to the vet. My friend is not a patient owner. He doesnt like the fact that she runs away everytime we go near her. She loves eating & will only come to you when you have food. Although she is a very submissive dog, she still greets us when we come back from work. At the moment, she is a dog's dog & not so much of people's dog. She doesnt bark much unless she is playing with other dogs. She gets along very well with one of my mongrel pet dog. So i assume that she has no problem getting along with other dogs.

Please bear in mind that she is not a people's dog as she was a stray previously. I m looking for a very patient & loving owner who is willing to spend time with her & take care of her so that she is not reluctant to interact with human being. Pls do not give up on her due to her submissive nature. I believe that she will eventually gain more confidence & be a really good companaion! "

Please contact Sam at 012-2900215
P/S : Some update from Sam:

"I visited her at the vet today & paid for her 3rd jab. She is still as cute as ever. Did I mention that she has relatively big paws & moo-moo cow tummy. She is growing slightly bigger before i sent her to the vet. I have asked those nurses in the clinic what's gonna happen to her if no one adopt sher. They did not give me an answer....So pls pls pls, provide a loving home to this cutie =)"
Well, Sam we sincerely hope someone out there will provide her a home and build her confidence. She just needs TIME.

We are looking for a home too!

Keiko

Reiko

Suki

We are the happy threesome! We are glad to tell you that our mama's eyes are recovering well. Know who we are? Yes, we are Sai-E's pups. Mama is very happy to be able to see us now. With the days passed by, we are growing stronger and bigger! Of course with the support of our mama's milk. All the aunties here feel that we are little fatty princesses...

We are about 4 weeks old, aunties say it is time to start looking for a new home for us. Of course we would like to be with our mum forever, but Aunty Kiew has to take care of other pups and she may not have enough time to attend to us, and she finds that nothing beats a loving home.

We have a little wish here, we wish to stay together if possible, we are hoping somebody would be able to take 3 of us home together! We hope we are not too greedy to ask for this.

If you are interested to take us home, please do not forget about Aunty Kiew's number, ok? We will repeat here 016-3579604.

More photos of us...

Keiko...the sleeping beauty...

Update about Sai -E

See the photos below, we need not say anymore....Phew! Sai-E 's eyes are recovered!

Sai-E finally opened her eyes...much to our relief!

Sai-E cuddling her pups lovingly...

We are not sure whether Sai-E has regained her vision 100% but definitely we know her eyes are improving. She can't wait to see her pups by her side. What a lovely scene!!

Some Updates from our Adopters

Kewy on Olio

Sam recently received a  call from  Kewy who adopted one of the Puchong pup named Olio . Apparently naughty Olio stole some  human cake and got Kewy worried sick. Olio was having diarhea after vaccination & deworming a  day before and now she has stolen some cakes to eat. No worries Kewy just observe her to see that there is no undesirable reaction. Knowing that Kewy is so worried I am glad that Olio has found someone to love her and giving her the undivided attention that we are unable to provide.

The 3 pups that now stays in Port Dickson

My family adores them and we have bought them lotsa of treats and toys. They are allowed to run freely in my house compound. We have brought them to see a vet and will bring them for their  vaccination when the time is due.

Polly – from the first batch of the rescued pups

Polly is very obedient and hardly bark but he is very fat.We still keep him in the house as we are afraid of our unfriendly neighbour who might be nasty to him eventhough they own 2 big dogs.

Velvet-from the first batch of the rescued pup

Velvet is getting very fat and naughty. Overall he is doing fine. Will bring him to see you guys one of this day.

Toto renamed Jade

Jade's growing really fast. And very cheeky too! Always up to mischief. I've taken her for her second vaccination a few weeks back. The vet said since she's growing to be quite a big dog, she will need another shot soon ;) I'll send you a picture of her once I've taken one (she doesn't sit still...tough to get a decent clear picture of her =p).

Thank you for your donation

We have another donor, oh... in fact two, contributing to the construction of the proposed fencing. They are couple Ellysia and husband Justin Tang, net friends of volunteer Sam. Thank you for your thoughts and kind gestures.

May you all be blessed for your generousity! A big Thank You to Sam too for your great effort!

Bin will be going to a new home

This is another good news we are too happy to share with everybody. Winson has finally decided to take Bin home!! What a wonderful piece of news!

Winson came to the shed to walk Bin when he is free. He had initially wanted to have a male puppy. He ultimately finds that Bin is a loving and adorable boy. We hope Bin will get use to his new home with new environment.

From a garbage collector to a new loving home, we are very sure Bin will appreciate what Winson is offering him and for sure Winson you will be rewarded with bundle of joy!

What a Relief!!!

When Mrs Lai went to feed the pups the next  morning, Frosty was found outside the shed sleeping. We were relief that he is around but he really dont look well. We decided to bring him and his brother, Bable to see a vet. Our fear was confirmed…it is Parvo. The clinic was too full to house them.Luckily Dr Edmund was reafrosty med lly very kind to help us  find a clinic who has the space for them as they were to be admitted for a few days. So out we go to  Sri Kembangan with the assistance of Dr Liew as we were not familiar with the area. Boy it was a long journey and poor puppies have to endure the long journey. Please pray that these two  will recover soon. It really breaks our heart to see them    suffers.

We have found a home for Wolfy

Still remember the good natured mama dog, Wolfy? We have found a new home for her. Kind lady who is a pet shop owner would like to take her in as her new pet. We hope she will like her.

Thank you for giving Wolfy a chance to be your companion for life!!

We woof you a Merry Christmas!!

To all our readers and supporters, we woof you a Merry Christmas!
Thank you to Janice Yow for helping us to design the posters! Woof Woof

I want more... feed me first

We thought we have no photos to show you all when we were busy attending to Sai-E last Sunday evening when Kiew discovered she was attacked by Cobra snake. It was already almost dark by the time we came back from the vet. We were practically busy looking for a good spot for her to rest and made the bedding, most important of all to also feed her the medication.

Sai-E was extremely calm and cool during the whole journey to the clinic and when she was under treatment by the vet. She is a tough mama, she did not make a single noise at all, even the vet also praised her for her good temperament (for a stray!). The vet cleaned her eyes with saline and to our horror we could not see her eye balls! We can sense that she was in deep pain but deep down in our hearts we knew that she was trying to stay strong and be brave. She has 3 puppies waiting for her! They were sleeping quitely in the car! We softly asked the vet whether she was in pain since the moment she was attacked, Dr gave a firm "Yes!". Our hearts went to her and how we wished we could share her pain.

Good news was that when the vet told us since it was already more than 4 hours after the attack, and she is still alive, this means that she has passed the test, so left with the only problem, which is her eyes, she risks the chance of losing her both eyes if the venom is too strong. We shall monitor it day by day.

After we settled her in the shed, then it was turn for the 3 little pups. Dr has specifically reminded us not to let sai-E feeds her pups because she was given 2 types of jab and she will be under medication. Boy!!...how are we going to feed them? They are so tiny!! Kim and I looked at each other...no matter how we still have to find way to feed them something! Haha...then Kim took out the milk powder and she made some warm milk, I searched for the little milk bottle, well I have to be the temporary mama for them. We decided to feed them using milk bottle.

So, here are the pictures, (thanks to Ken who has taken the photos using his handphone without our knowledge while we were like a busy bee) We can't wait to share with you all, do you think they like it?? We were worried they will reject it but to our surprise, they drank it almost instantly. See, they took turn to drink the milk, then fell asleep in a row like a sleeping beauty!! Ooppps! I later found out that they are all girls!!

Well princesses, you are in safe hands, we will find you a good home when you are ready!

Mandy - Up for adoption

Mandy is TriTri's last pup waiting to be rehomed. She has a pair of unique blue colour eyes. On top of this, what attracted us is her naked colour nose, not the normal black colour.

Mandy is vaccinated. About 3 months now. She enjoys human touched and loved to be carried around. A good companion dog.

Please contact Aunty Kiew at 016-3579604 or write to missionshare5@gmail.com if you are interested to bring Mandy home.

Missing again??????

PC220096

We are kind of worried as Frosty could not be found last evening. He will normally be the first to greet us when we arrive at the temple. He was not feeling well in the morning. We have looked in his favourite spot and under the drain but in vain. We  pray he will come out from his hiding place. Lately the temple are building a wash area next to our shed. Heaps and heaps of sand are being transported to the area and we hope that he is not buried in one of the heaps…………Frosty wherever you are please come out….

Rehomed Returned and will be Rehomed Again

PC200002

Our little brothers were adopted last night by Mrs Leong and husband. She felt it was too sad to separate this pair so she decided to take them both as they were considerably small. When they reached home they found that they could not leave them at the car porch as they realized that the gap between their gate was too big and they might squeezed out. As they have no intention of caging or chaining them they have no choice but to leash them but this pair cried the whole night feeling trapped. Mrs Leong been a soft hearted person decided to send them back to the temple. She says she will come back for them when she gets her compound ready so that they can  not escape .A very considerate thought . Mrs Leong don’t worry they will wait for you to bring them back to your loving home.
