PetFinder.my, Malaysia’s leading pet adoption portal which has found homes for over 6,000 animals, will be organizing a Charity Fair on April 23 & 24 in conjunction with their 3rd anniversary. Sunway Pyramid has generously sponsored the venue in line with their humanitarian and educational efforts. With the primary aims of raising funds and awareness, the event will be graced by 7 leading animal welfare NGOs - SPCA Selangor, PAWS, HOPE, Save A Stray, Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better, Paws Mission and AnimalCare. They will be making available an assortment of merchandise and sharing knowledge on responsibly managing pets.
This event features two novel approaches - the centralization of donations, and the participation of art & craft merchants. Donor funds will be centralized and redistributed to NGOs accordingly, to provide a more balanced assistance for homeless animals.
6 altruistic merchants will be offering exclusive art & crafts for sale, donating the profits to charity. Attractive merchandise include mugs, cushions, T-shirts and jigsaw puzzles imprinted with customer photos by HeartBeat.my; engraved pet tags and accessories by Furrenz.com; magic keychains by Da Vinci Creative Kids; animal mousepads and pens by Henry Cats & Friends; personalized Magazine Cover memorabilia by Petster Magazine; and animal-shaped cupcakes and cookies by Cake Pantry. This joyous occasion will be complemented with exciting stage activities, performances and contests, offering alluring prizes and giveaways.
Taking this charity campaign a step further, PetFinder.my and HeartBeat.my has partnered to kick-start a month-long online donation drive to raise further funds for the NGOs, where the latter will donate 50% of sales from PetFinder.my's animal lovers, so people unable to attend the event can conveniently contribute as well.
