An Unexpected Mission

This will be the last place on earth if we ever want to visit….the dog pound. The dog catcher came and we lost 3 dogs who roam freely outside the temple. Thanks to Mrs Lai and Uncle Wong who bravely went over to rescue them.

Now where is Tri Tri, one of our 2 pioneer resident left and who is very wary of human. We never had the chance to vaccinate her and luckily she was not affected by the deadly virus, distemper that attacked most of the pioneer resident here last Mar 2010. Now we have managed to catch her! What a way to catch her, through the dog pound!

Next, where is the brown dog? He was no where to be found.:(( but uncle took pity on one of the black female dog which has a blue collar on, he said she is someone's dog and was very friendly. So out she goes…….

Our Last Week of January 2010

Another tiring day ended our week/month. As it was a holiday for some of us today, glad that we have more time to do what needs to be done. We had some happy moments as well as a disturbing scene yesterday which left us very unhappy.

Fan managed to assist an elderly lady to rehome her pups! 3 together! Isnt it great? Though 1 may be separated from the other 2 but they are still adopted by the same family.

Whilst Fan was rehoming these 3 pups, Sam and April was attending to Sai Ee in the fosterer’s house. As Sai E’s puppies have all found a loving home each, she is currently nursing a new batch puppies and she dont seem to be able to get along with one of them, Amber aka Fei Mui. We believe Fei Mui does help her from thinking of her own puppies by annoying her most of the time.

On their way back to the shed, they saw a dog who looks like Wolfy with 3 little puppies.Oh dear! It was a horrible sight...1 puppy was dead. Apparently part of the dead puppy was eaten up!!!! They were scrawny looking. It is really a scaring sight which left them sleepless that night. (Want to see pic??)

Oh my God! What had happened?? They decided to take the puppies away without much thought of the consequences as to what will happen next. GET THEM OUT THERE was what came to their mind. Luckily Eileen after assisting Fan rehoming the 3pups came to their rescue.

She found a fosterer for them. Phew! Everything then started to fall into its place..piece by piece..Our next mission is to get them the necessary medical attention before finding a home for them....but along they way we know that it is going to be a bumpy ride as we already facing a lot of problems.....

Our hands are all tangled up with so many things still undone but we realised that this is what saving lives is all about. You have to be hands on to ensure that your objective will be achieved.Though we know we can't help all the helpless animals but we will try to give our best to whoever we are helping.

Long story short, Mr. Matthew and Pooi Leng decided to adopt Haylie as a companion for their

Hayley and Grace were rescued by an elderly Aunty when they were around 3 months old.Though Aunty has good intention of not wanting them to be strays but sad to say she has no time to interact with them. When they were brought home,they were infact neglected in her house though they do not have to worry about food and shelter. I tried my very best bringing them to adoption drives organized by Malaysian Dog Deserves Betteri n hope that they will find a good home . They were very tensed,timid and weary of humans around as they have never seen so many people, so they were never chosen… Luckily my rescuer friend, Eileen, helped me to take beautiful angles of them to be posted on the Petfinder.my website and Hayley’s pictures did capture a few attention. Thanks Eileen.

Long story short, Hayley was adopted by Mr Matthew and Pooi Leng as a companion for their own rescued poodle, Rusty.No words could express how glad and happy I am to find an understanding and patient owner for Hayley. Hayley is still a puppy at heart She will still chews on whatever she gets hold of but glad to say she is never reprimanded but instead were taught to be a good. Thanks Matthew and Pooi Leng for of your patience. Just hope that Hayley’s sister Grace will find an understanding owner as you both

The Construction Site's Pet

This is one of the female from the construction site who has been spayed last Saturday.She refused to eat according to the vet assistant but she gobbled up all the rice I brought her this afternoon. Hopefully she will return to the site soon to join her mother and friends. She is the only surviving pup from the previous litter.It would be wonderful if all the construction site’s manager is as responsible as Mr Ravi of this site, someone who understand that spaying is important not only for the animals but to everybody who stays around the area.
